Aloe vera is a succulent plant species of the genus Aloe. It is cultivated for agricultural and medicinal uses. During this pandemic, we had one mother plant with 20 inch leaves and decided to separate and use to make Hand Sanitizer for the family. I also use for face moisturizer and works great. The plant continues to make babies and we had 15 small plants 10 inch leaves and 5 medium plants 15 inch leaves. They also bloom and are beautiful for weeks.
Hand Sanitizer is so simple, 1/3 cup Aloe vera and 2/3 cup rubbing alcohol and 3 drops of your favorite essential oil, I prefer Eucalyptus. Scrape the gel out with a spoon, blend in blender and strain so that it doesn’t clog the sprayer on the bottle.
