What happened to our gulf coast fall? We blinked and kaboom… our one good fall week of weather turned into a wet and cold winter.

Buck
I took this picture of Buck last spring when the grass was a bit greener. His winter coat is coming in fast. The local deer have just about chewed every green thing down to the ground. But with hunting season in full force, they will be high tailing it back into the woods, allowing Buck to once again, rule the farm.
Baldwin EMC Mulch
A few months ago, I was bouncing at Lowes (my typical Saturday morning - ha ha). And I watched this couple spend $50.00 plus for bags of mulch. Red dyed bags of chewed up rubber stuff. They could have saved a few dollars if they would have bought some of the cheap cypress.. but no… the top of the line stuff.
Well, I am not going to pass judgement.. but here in Baldwin County, we just call our electric cooperative, Baldwin EMC. They put your name is on the list, and a when they have to grind up a truck load of trees in your area, they will bring you a truck load of the best FREE mulch you can get.
